it's always the same, it's just a shame, that's all

total repeat from my hsb blog:

You know how sometimes you learn new, paradigm shifting, eye opening, life changing things?

That didn't happen to me at the conference. Instead I learned many of the same old heard-but-not-applied things. Good things that I need to do.

Model diligence and then train the children in it.

Prioritize and live by those priorities.

This will mean letting some "good" things go, in favor of "better" things.

Know your children and really invest in them.

Family worship needs to be a priority.

Always the romantic, I am often thinking I am willing to sacrifice all for Christ, to die for Christ ... but I am usually unwilling, at any given moment, to put aside my selfish comforts and indulgences. If I want to truly be used for Christ, I need to be willing to be uncomfortable for Him, as well as die for Him.

I need to make sure our family is investing in 'real life' friendships.

My internet time really needs to be reined in, pared down, brought under control.

Three blogs is too many.

Let me know if I can work on the walking list to help out. Or maybe I can think of a way to simplify it somehow.

 Dear Kim,

Hi!  I think that is smart.   I have tried on a few occasions to have two blogs, trying to justify it for this reason or that.  Then I saw a good friend's blog and got a really great idea.  She has only ever had one blog.  Some days when she doesn't have anything to blog, she posts nothing.  Other days she will sum up her day in one entry.  Other days (she does this frequently), she posts several short entries, all on different subjects and categorizes them.  I just love that.  One blog to go to, several neat entries or even one to read each day.  I can comment on all or one if I want.  It looks like the same people go to you Real Blog and this one anyway, right?  So, having a daily or every other day or whatever entry on the walking on your Real Blog would work well.  People who really wanted to keep up with you would get used to searching the front page of your Real Blog for whatever entry they were interested in or could read them all.  You could tell everyone, and then give yourself the freedom, that you might not post every day because of what you said here.

Out of your three blogs I enjoy your Real Blog the best.  It seems as though your closest on-line friends all go there and there isn't any controversy like there is at HSB.  That is why I do not have a blog at HSB or HSteadB any longer - too much competing for number of posts - people just saying hello, I felt, to either up their number of posts or to give me their opinion when they had never even read my blog before that day.  Where I am now, I am confidant that the people who come are those I have built friendships with over the past 13 years.  I have met them all IRL or talked to them on the phone (you are the only exception!).  I felt it important to limit my blogging fun to those I had gotten to know the most.  The only Ladies who have "open access" to my blog that are not on my blogroll are those ladies who are at Titus 2 Christian Homekeepers, (http://www.t2chk.org/) a forum I have been a part of for four years this month.  I have a link to my blog in my siggy there.  There are about 150 women there and around 50 or so have been there as long as I have.  That's how I am maintaining my on-line time.  Otherwise, in the past, I found myself constantly feeling like I had to "keep up" with everyone - most whom I did not even know!  :nono:

Well, anyway. :blah: I look forward to seeing what you decide to do.   Have a fabTABulous Sunday, Kim! :sunny:

:heartbeat:, Robin
